Timed Shot PourOne member from each team has 1 min 30 seconds to chill 10 shots and accurately pour them. Each shot = 50 points poured within 1/4 ounce of the correct pour (1.5oz). The remaining liquid will be strained and measured after contestant pours. Ten Points (10pts) will be deducted for every 0.5oz of liquid left in the shaker. (500pts)

Free PourContestants will Free Pour 5 shots per each hand to demonstrate shot count accuracy. Each shot poured accurately within 1/8 of an ounce = 50 pts. (500pts)

Speed/MemoryAccuracy of memory and speed will be tested by a bartender from each team. Three (3) guests order- Name, Drink, Shot. Bartender will take ALL orders, and clock starts. Bartender is allowed ONE return trip to the bar to verify ONE guest order. Penalty for extra trips. (500pts)

Door Check InEach team will receive 20 points / person. One check-in per team per night.

Sales Points1x point for every dollar sold that evening (food, wine, beer, liquor, & beverages). 2x points for every dollar sold towards sponsored products. 7pm-10pm for triple points on sponsored brands

Bartender Payout IncentiveBartender Payout Incentive: Teams can receive up to 20% of THEIR TOTAL NET SALES from Prelims rounds of the Competition in addition to tips earned.

Tip Out ExpectationEach Bar will be assigned a Riptide Bartender to assist with computer questions, payments, food, sales, etc. A Riptide Barback will be available as well. Guest Bartenders are expected to tip out a minimum of 20% to Riptide Support Staff

Total points for Skills /Accuracy Challenge, Door Check Ins, & Sales determine ranking.The 5 Teams with the highest point totals after competition prelims will be announced at the Customer Appreciation Party. this is the 9th Annual Brockmeyer Bartending Competition HOSTED @ RIPTIDE
